Grants Funded for 2024-2025

Through the generosity of the Ho-Ho-Kus Families, and our partnership with school administration and faculty, the Education Foundation is proud to announce some of the larger education enhancement requests we were able to grant:

New Playground: Ho-Ho-Kus Elementary School now has a larger state of the art brand-new playground suitable for all grades. With multiple slides, climbing options, monkey bars and zip line, students and Ho-Ho-Kus families can enjoy the ample playground options.

Author Visit: We sponsored New York Times Bestselling author Varsha Bajaj to visit the school. She had an assembly for 5-8 graders, a special lunch with select students an writing workshops with 7-8 graders. Varsha Bajaj is the author of NY Times Bestselling book, Thirst.

Broadway Play: The Ho-Ho-Kus Education Foundation is honored to continue the tradition of sending the 7th graders to New York City and watch Grammy Award winning Hamilton on Broadway. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the students and aligns with one of their Social Studies units.

John Miller Star Lab: Astronomer John Miller brings his planetarium to show our classes the night sky. The experience ties in perfectly with the Unity of Study: Space Systems for our 1st-5th grade students. Students observe patterns of the motion of the sun, moon and stars.

Fifth Grade Lockers: Together with the Home and School Association (HAS), new lockers were installed for the fifth graders. This was a much-needed upgrade and improvement.
