We are proud to announce that the Ho-Ho-Kus Education has been been able to fund over $72,000 in grants for the 2017-2018 school year.   We thank you for your support in enriching our children's education.

  • Hydroponic Planting System (Grade 5): Unit of study by which students plant their own hydroponic systems. 
  • Fall 2017 Athletic and Co-curricular Activities Cost (Grades 6-8): Funding along with the HSA all the athletic and club activities for the Fall programs.
  • Kinesthetic Classroom (Grade 6-8): Desks and seating provide movement during learning to increase focus. A three-person pedal desk, a set of 5 wobble seats, and a standing desk with book box and foot swing.
  • Music Go Round Musical Manipulatives (Pre-K - 3): Manipulatives such as bells, hand-chimes are color-coordinated to allow younger students to succeed in recognizing notes and playing music. 
  • State of the Art Classroom Library Update (Grade 5): 3 genres: Argument & Advocacy, High-Interest Non-Fiction and “Fantasy Book Clubs”
  • Subscription to Pebble-Go Website (Grade 1): Four databases contain abundant sources for next generation science standards: Animals, Biographies, Science and Social Studies
  • NGSS Books (Grade 2): Mentor texts to support new science learning, and models for writing about science for students.
  • Reading A-Z and RAZ-Kids (Grade 1 & BSI & RTI): Interactive leveled books for use at school and at home. 400+ books, comprehension skills, running records  for teachers. 
  • Vocabulary Spelling City App for iPads & At Home Access (Grade 1): Extra practice and application of word sort features and vocabulary for 60 students utilized in the classroom and at home.
  • NGSS Book Set, Domino Rally STEM Set, Marble Run Super Set, Mouse Trap (Kindergarten): Books supplement Next Generation Science learning, and align to non-fiction reading and writing workshop. Games support Forces and Interactions Unit.
  • Orton-Gillingham (BSI / Special Ed): Materials supplement and benefit readers and spellers needing multi-sensory approach. Online subscription provides additional resources.
  • Chromebooks (Grade 5-8): “One to World” equal internet and technology access
  • Non-Fiction and Trade Books (Grade 2): Leveled non-fiction books and trade books for classroom.
  • Keyboarding Without Tears (Grades K-2):  Comprehensive keyboarding program.
  • ECLC: Continued partnership of this school and our overall community.
